Bechem United striker Amed Toure insists he is not obsessed with becoming the Ghana Premier League top scorer.
The 30-year-old has overtaken Nicholas Gyan in the golden shoe race after scoring a hat-trick against Bolga All Stars over the weekend.
Toure moved his tally to 12 goals with strikes in the 11th and 30th minute and during additional time when his side won 4-0 in their matchday 23 league encounter.
“I’m not targeting the goal king. I’m much into the collective work first, listen to the coach so we perform well as a team.
“And later, if the opportunity comes to win the goal king, why not but for now, all my mind is about teamwork.
“When going into games you have your targets and today I wanted two goals but got three in the end, so I’m very happy,” said the Ivorian-born Burkinabe international.
Amed Toure’s nearest rival, Gyan, remains on 11 goals after failing to score for Dwarfs against Aduana Stars on Sunday.
