MANCHESTER UNITED chief executive Ed Woodward has opened negotiations to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
According to Sky Sports, discussions have taken place in the last 48 hours that could potentially see Pogba arrive as Jose Mourinho's fourth summer signing.
The Red Devils are reportedly prepared to dwarf Real Madrid's £85.3m world-record deal for Gareth Bale by offering Juventus £100m for their talented French international.
They are also prepared to break the bank by offering Pogba, 23, a staggering £300,000-per-week to convince him to re-sign at Old Trafford.
Despite United seemingly landing the first blow, Spanish football expert Guillem Balague believes Pogba would prefer to join Real Madrid.
