Ghana League Wrap: Kotoko open six-point gap, Hearts & Ashantigold lose points

Hearts of Oak came from behind to snatch an equaliser through Winful Cobbinah to make it 2-2 against Aduana Stars. Kofi Abanga, Alex Asamoah and Alan Skido had earlier traded goals.

Ghana Premier League defending champions Asante Kotoko finally exorcised the Medeama ghost which has always been haunting them after a 4-1 win. Seidu Bancey netted a double, Jordan Opoku and Prince Baffoe scoring the others. Kennedy Boateng got a consolation for the visiting team.

Inter Allies were on the receiving end in the Tema derby as they were beaten 2-0 by Amidaus Professionals, Isaac Owusu and Isaac Amoah got the goals for Amidaus.

New Edubiase could not capitalize on their home advantage to beat Ebusua Dwarfs at their favourite Gyamfi Park. Stephen Manu opened the scoring for the home side before Faisal Gambo pulled the equaliser.

In-form striker Richard Yamoah and Samuel Afful scored both goals as Sekondi Hasaacas saw off King Faisal at the Essipong Stadium.

Bechem United and Ashanti Gold settled for a pulsating 2-2 draw at the Bechem Park. Francis Dadzie scored from the spot, Patrick Opoku had a bad day with an own goal and it took the effort of Lawrence Lartey, who capitalized on a free header to pull even for the Miners.

All Stars lost 2-3 to Heart of Lions at the Wa Park, the scorers were Paul Asare De-Vries and Emmanuel Gyamfi for the hosts whiles Prosper Avor, Isaac Quansah, and Edem Kojo registered a win for the visitors.
