Wydad Casablanca’s goalkeeper Zouheir Laaroubi has admitted that his side’s game against Al Ahly will be tough ahead of their clash in 2017 CAF Champions League final.
The Moroccan giants qualified to the third African final in their history after beating Algeria’s USM Alger 3-1, while eight-time African champions Al Ahly thrashed Etoile du Sahel in the semi-final.
“The game will be very tough and difficult, everyone knows who Al Ahly are and how difficult the games against them. Their huge wins against Etoile makes things more difficult,” Laaroubi told local media.
“Al Ahly’s victory against Etoile will motivate us to gather our strength as we are preparing for the game, we want to end up with the least possible damage before the second leg in Morocco,” Laaroubi added.
Al Ahly will host WAC in the first leg of the final at Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium on Saturday, before heading to Morocco in the following week for the second leg.
