A round-up of LFC transfer rumours and speculation from around the web
Have Barcelona found an alternative to Philippe Coutinho? Liverpool will surely hope so, and some news today could give them some encouragement.
The Catalan giants recently admitted that they could sign Coutinho in January, if they wanted to - conveniently ignoring Liverpool's say in the matter.
But perhaps privately Barcelona are actually facing up to the fact that Liverpool are serious when they say that Coutinho is not for sale, and are therefore looking for some alternatives.
Bayern Munich's Thiago Alacantara is the name mentioned by Spanish newspaper Don Balon today.
Thiago left Barca for Bayern in 2013 but it is reported that Ernesto Valverde is interested in bringing him back to the club.
Saying all this, we fully expect our old friends Mundo Deportivo and Sport, the two Catalan newspapers, to be back to their old tricks before January rolls around. So enjoy this bit of positive news while it lasts.
